In Memoriam: Dan Binzer
Founder of Montigo/Canadian
Heating Products

Thursday, March 19, 2020

Montigo is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our founder, Dan Binzer, on Wednesday, March 11, 2020.

Dan began building the company we now know as Montigo in the early 1970s. Ever the creative inventor, many of his innovations changed the landscape of the hearth industry. An intensely private man, he never wanted to be the face of the company he built, but touched many lives throughout the years.

Although Dan sold the company in June 2016, he remained involved in product design until he officially retired in late 2019. That was the part of the business that Dan loved.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Dan’s family, and we are proud to continue his legacy.
